Ameca is the robot platform of the future

Ameca is a spectacle at CES 2022, a large crowd gathered around to watch and see how Ameca is able to respond to conversations with proper human-like expressions. The phrase of the day from the public seems to be “uncanny valley” as many people still can’t get past Ameca’s grey skin and plastic teeth. Made by British company Engineered Arts they plan for Ameca’s face to be seen in as many public and private industries as possible.

The Ameca hardware is a development based on Engineered Arts research into humanoid robotics and built on their advanced Mesmer technology. The company built the hardware and created a modular architecture that allows for future upgrades, both physically and software-wise to enhance Ameca’s abilities.

The main purpose of Ameca is to be a platform for developing AI. We love designing and building robots, we’ll leave it to you and all the other amazing (naturally intelligent) brains out there to create the AI and machine learning alogrithms and see how far we can progress the technology together.
